Since the 2014 midterms, Steve has spent every major election night live on the air providing real-time reporting of results as they become available. Using a large touchscreen, he’s able to zoom in on demographically and politically significant slices of the map, providing viewers with a peek behind the numbers to what everyone is asking: Who’s winning? Who’s losing? And why? 

Just as riveting for Steve is what comes after every election, when results from every county, city and precinct in the country can be compared to previous results. Exploring the changing face of America, and the changing nature of each political party’s coalition, becomes his passion between elections.  

As the NFL playoffs approach, Steve breaks down the various matchups every week on Football Night in America, which precedes Sunday Night Football. His assignments for NBC Sports extend to the Olympics, the National Dog Show, and major horse racing events including the Kentucky Derby and the Royal Ascot.  In all these venues, Steve brings the same passion and energy that he shows on election nights.
